Ooo the month is almost over...

And what have I been doing you ask? Well taking care of real life at the moment, but let me tell you! The store has been doing great, and I wanted to thank you for all the kind note cards I have been getting on how we're doing. I'm happy to know that we're making your SL better by what we do at Fae Faire, and that you all are enjoying Vanima Shee!

Stay tuned there's definitely more to come. We're growing along with what the word "fantasy" means to us. So I'm happy you want to grow with us too! Lately on SL I've been doing sim and parcel jobs, moving away a little from the Fae to give people some storybook twists if that makes any sense. So look for a lot more storybook and pixie things as well. Yowsa I think those are a bunch of run-on sentences but I'm too lazy to fix 'em lol.

Ok enough about the store, now onto the people. I have been meeting the coolest most awesomist people in SL lately, with true artistic souls. Musicians, and real life artists like myself. It's rather nice, and refreshing! I use to spend time with a certain crowd back in the day, and now I see I was totally missing out on what SL truly has to offer. I am FREE! And I love it! So I hope to get to know therse new friends more and find more people like them, because SL is all kinds of things for me, but just like in RL, friends are very important!

Hee~hee NEXT! Ravyn is back from vacation and we're gonna get down to business. Everyone knows we're branching out into new things, but we are now taking on customs to a larger scale... As I mentioned earlier I have been doing bigger projects, and we're going to keep doing them. It's now more than elven fireplaces and flying faery mushrooms... It's not Elven this, or Rivendell that... It's fantasy. That true joy and happiness we all had as children, the stories, the bright colors, just plain sugary-sweet goodness! And that's what I now want to bring to SL, wrapped up with a mega-dose of cuteness! So it's now my mission to shake things up a bit and bring that back with a dark twist to it.

Ok and back to the top, taking care of real life things. Aranel (SL partner and real life boyfriend) and I are moving to a new place next week. No worries though, all my e-mail goes to my Blackberry and in my profile I have a Fae Faire e-mail address if you have any concerns. That addy goes directly to my phoneI'm going to try my hardest not to be without the internet. I want to make the transition smooth so if anyone needs anything they wouldn't have to wait too long. Which will work out in the end because when we are moved in I'm getting new PCs and I think I want to Dual-screen. So SL and all my graphic aps will be easier for me to use. WOOT! Which means good things for all of ya! So things may be crazy for a bit but I got it covered!

So everyone else knows...

I pride myself on Fae Faire's Customer Service. Ravyn and I work very hard to make our customers happy, and make sure that they are very satisfied with their items. Ok lol with that said let me tell you something. Yesterday I got a notecard about a custom job... The real interesting thing however is that they said at the end of it, Jade I don't know if you know this, but ********* has A LOT of similar items that look a lot like what you offer at Fae Faire. All I can say is that I am EXTREMELY happy that the customers are starting to notice the people who have been stealing our hard work. I told this wonderful customer what happened, how Ravyn and I took a break from SL and when we got back a certain person stole all of Ravyn's builds... (And she is still doing so by the way.) That Fae Faire has been here since 2006, and we are very confident in what we do so we ignore bottomfeeders. That this person admitted to it saying Ravyn's builds were too " primmy" anyway. This person has a lot of people fooled. And to keep with (or think that she actually is) us she's paying an EXORBITANT to LL for Tier when we are making pure profit (thank you again wonderful customers). She also had people fund the cost of her new sim as well... I'm not stupid I can easily put 2 and 2 together. But anyway I just wanted to say people are noticing that all you are is a pathetic reseller. And that your moral compass is severely broken. You should be ashamed, but how can you? Not only are you a bad person, you're crazy too.

Whatcha Doin'? (Btw Ravyn's on Vacay so I'm holding down the Fae Faire Fort. I hope she has a good time she really needs it with some of the needless stress people give her on this game... =/)

Hihi,

So what have I been doing? Yes lots of building... Lately my main focus has been custom jobs. I'm working on a few things that had been expanding my skill and vocabulary when it comes to building... WOOT! You'll all see soon enough for I will advertise it in the Fae Faire Business Group. The person I'm building for is a really talented designer (it's a storefront btw), and this build I'm working on, I'm really, REALLY excited about this because it ain't Elven and it ain't Fae. Plus afterwards I have more customs I'll be working on too!

I changed my view on custom jobs... I want to try things that will push me as a designer. As I mentioned before I am really tired of Lord of the Rings. I still love fantasy, but I'm starting to take a more whimsical storybook approach. I think I'm really starting to find my niche. I really love color and bold shapes and lines, you would see that in my pastel and charcoal work I do in real life if you ever saw it. Now I'm noticing it's starting to show up in my work in SL and I'm glad for that! I hate bland and washed out colors (things with no color), my personality is really starting to show in my work now here. Plus I'm finding that I can take people's wants and needs and twist and shape it to reflect what they want to achieve with the added bonus of incorporating my style.

OK enough about me...

I wanted to also mention Hurricane Gustav... I have real life family there and second life family in Louisiana and I just hope you're all ok. I haven't seen some of my friends log into SL who I know that live in that area, and I just hope you're all safe, and doing well, and I really hope to see you guys soon! I'm sending happy thoughts and wishes to wherever you are!
